Fox found to be culprit after police helicopter called out to report of screaming woman

Devon and Cornwall Police helicopter was in action in the early hours of Friday morning after reports of a woman screaming for help in Exeter. Police received a call from a member of the public claiming they could hear a woman screaming in the grounds of Exeter University.

The air operation unit responded just before 1:30am however it was soon discovered the scream was actually coming from something far less sinister.

Not the actual fox.

The helicopter was called out to help search for the ‘victim’ but it was confirmed by police on the ground that the woman’s screams were in fact that of a fox.

A representative of Devon and Cornwall Police said: “The helicopter was called out to reports of a woman screaming in the Horseguards area of Exeter just before 1:30am on Friday morning, however a unit on the ground confirmed the screaming was in fact a fox and the helicopter returned soon after.”

That's nothing compared to peacocks. Now there's some serious screaming.
