Hospital staff forced to flee ox charging down corridor

Staff at a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, were sent running for their lives when an unlikely patient let itself in.



CCTV footage of the incident, which happened in March, shows an ox running through the halls of Hospital Francisco Limongi in Trajano de Moraes, frightening the staff on duty.

The desperate workers appeared in a state of shock as they tried to escape the charging animal. Police were called in to capture the ox, which is believed to have become agitated when unable to find its way out of the hospital.

No one was injured and only a few doors were damaged in the incident. A large number of ox roam Trajano de Moraes, a rural mountainous region of Rio. A lack of fencing and adequate security on the door was blamed for the unwelcome intrusion.
