This is all cute, folks, but please don't put your kitties in your shoes. If you've got a fungal infection of any kind, you'll pass it on. Means vet bills and other annoyances.
Of course, if the shoes have never been worn, go for it.
(Note: This warning also applies to the habit I've seen some pet owners have of rubbing their feet in their pet's fluffy fur. Not a good idea.)
Some cats find their way into shoes though. I have a friend whose cat loves poking his head into shoes, especially sneakers. He would just rest there until he gets bored. It's like aroma-therapy for him.
